Construction Progress by March 2008

The project is finally making a significant impact on the Thamrin skyline despite the fact that the towers are approximately half of their final height.

In late 2007, while the superstructure was progressing, the matt foundation at basement level 5 was cast with 6000 cubic meter of concrete being continuously poured for each tower.

Currently the podium retail roof and the external glazing and stone finishes are progressing along with M&E services, retail lifts and escalators are being installed with internal fit out works commencing shortly, and retailers fit out to follow mid 2008.

The towers are on programme with the Plaza construction at level 26 while the Keraton is at level 24 and it is anticipated that they will be topped out by November.

The new gas generator system, will be the prime source of power for the entire complex, and is housed in the new building outside the West entrance and works are almost complete and the power plant would certainly rank as a“green” energy source.

Similarly, the existing sewage treatment plant is being upgraded to serve the entire complex and the new plant facility will incorporate the latest “ultra filtration” technology again bringing increased efficiency to running the development.

Works shall also commence shortly on the latest wireless infrastructure technology and fibre optic infrastructure bringing broadband internet, WIFI, cellular, mobile TV, cable TV and radio trunking to all points in the project.

Fit out of the towers and the installation of the curtain wall will follow later in 2008 along with the construction of a new eX link which will be completed late 2008.
