EMPLOYEES
The Company has a total of 457 employees, consisting
of 8 General Managers, 28 Managers, 26 Section Heads,
139 staffs and 249 non-staffs. Of the 249 non-staff
employees, 142 people are security guards. The educational
background of the Company’s employees is varied,
9 employees have postgraduate degrees, 97 have graduate
degrees, 45 have diploma degrees and 306 graduated
from senior high school.
Grand Hyatt Jakarta itself has 877 employees who are
managed under Hyatt International, who has been appointed
by the Company to manage Grand Hyatt Jakarta since
1991.
The quality of human resources has a great deal to
do with determining the success and strengths of
every company. The Company is extremely aware
of this. Therefore, the Company has already increased
the level of its investment in the development of
individual potential and professionalism of each
employee. This development includes increasing
leadership capability and competency at strategic
levels through enriching, envisioning, strategic decision
making, networking and updating leadership skills.
All these are aimed at producing leaders with high
championship, managerial and leadership capabilities in
facing future strategic changes.
The Company is already utilizing a Competency-Based Human
Resources Management concept. This makes it possible for
the Company to translate its corporate vision and mission
as well as organizational priorities into more objective and
transparent performance from all the Company’s employees.
The Company also creates a catalogue of competencies
for all functions and positions in the Company’s corporate
organizational structure. This process involves several
management levels in the Company’s corporate organization
in line with the active participation of the Company’s
employees. The implementation of this competency concept
creates a high level performance from all the Company’s
employees. Eventually, the Company is hopefully able to
designate performance in line with determined targets.
Development programs that have already been carried
out by the Company include the followings:

4. Problem Solving;
5. Indonesian Shopping Centre National Seminar;
6. Shopping Centre Study Tour; and
